Southeast Safety Association, (SSA) is an approved Louisiana Third Party Administrator, Louisiana licensed Service Company and Louisiana Licensed Insurance Agency.

SSA currently provides the Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF members with risk management, loss control, safety and consulting services since 2003. SSA has developed exclusively for the agents and members of the Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF the most comprehensive online safety website available in the United States. SSA with the assistance of the Diversified Dealers Association have established several cutting edge programs never before used by workers’ compensation carriers to assist its members in cutting its cost and exposure for workers’ compensation claims. Some of the following programs are now operational:

  • Free Online Safety and Risk Management Website to its members

SSA developed and maintains an Award winning safety website for the exclusive use by the Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF agents and members. Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF members have direct Internet access to safety programs, OSHA programs, PowerPoint presentations, job applications, drug testing policies, etc. all customizable and free of charge to its members.

  • Discount Medical Plan

All of these benefits are available to you and your family on one convenient card at a great price!  This is a discount health program offering significant savings from over 300,000 healthcare providers across the nation.

  • Free Discount Prescription Card

SSA finalized an agreement in July 2006 to provide all Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF members and employees with discount prescription cards to assist in reducing the cost of prescriptions for health and workers’ compensation claims.

       Other Programs under development for late 2007 and early 2008 are:

    • Safety Incentive Programs
    • Discount Safety Supplies
    • CPR/First Aid On-Site Training

SSA  has helped companies save millions of dollars by providing a simplified risk management , loss control, safety and claims program so that the injured employee would understand the workers' compensation claims process and to create a better relationship between the injured worker, the employer and the Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF.

SSA programs are designed to educate the injured worker, which assist in eliminating the moral and morale hazards - reducing undue legal and medical costs to the employer.

SSA was founded on the philosophy, after working for major insurance companies and group self insurance funds that injured workers did not understand the workers' compensation process. This lack of knowledge promoted attorney involvement, thus creating higher settlement costs which a greater portion went to legal fees and medical providers rather than the injured worker. Under the Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF and SSA administrative program, the injured worker is able to settle his/her claim timely and place more money in his/her pocket, rather than in the pockets of the legal and medical profession. This has resulted in direct savings to the Louisiana Construction & Industry SIF.

SSA provides a risk management, loss control and safety program that are designed to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents in the work force. Our programs compares closely and complies with OSHA and ADA requirements in that our programs are designed to save the company money by reducing injuries in the work force.
